Scientist/Senior Scientist: Immuno-Oncology

Our programs target novel GPCR pathways that modulate specific immune responses and metabolic immune checkpoints with the goal of restoring the body’s natural ability to fight cancer. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated scientist with an extensive experience and knowledge in Immunology or Cancer Biology to join our drug discovery and development team. The qualified candidate will support the discovery and characterization of novel, small molecule drugs for the treatment of cancer.  The selected candidate will have knowledge and experience in immunology and cancer research with extensive hands-on experience in the development of new cellular and functional assays. The job title will depend on years of experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing and optimizing in vitro cellular assays for advancement of lead compounds for drug discovery program
  • Responsible for data analysis, thorough documentation of work, and clear communication of results in group settings
  • Independently design and conduct cellular and functional assays to evaluate immune mechanisms of our small molecules
  • Support and operate laboratory equipment and manage the ordering and maintenance of stocks of lab supplies and reagents
  • Create and maintain a safe, innovative, and positive environment

Job Qualifications

  • PhD in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or equivalent with 4+ years of laboratory research experience in immunology, cancer immunology, or related field
  • Expertise in a wide variety of immunological techniques, cell culture and multi-color flow cytometry as well as biochemistry techniques (ELISA, western blotting, PCR) is a must
  • Experience with assay development, including optimization and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with software for graphical data analysis, statistical analysis, FACS plots, and presentations
  • Desire to learn and tackle new challenges
  • Ability to work as a part of a fast-paced team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to present data to project teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
